  Jim Moore said " We are very happy with our steel building, we have been able to modify it to suit our needs & it was a very cost effective option"  

We were asked to custom design this building for use as a separate area for mild steel storage & as spraying/welding/grinding area away from the stainless steel area.

Jim opted for the self erect option because he had skilled engineers at his disposal & also wanted to customise the building as he went. His steel building was basically a large steel garage with a single roller door & a personal access door that he chose to add during the building process.

Jim Moore said "we needed something as a temporary spray booth that could also be used safely for welding & easily relocated if necessary & OZ-UK had just what we were looking for"

Because our product is a bolt down steel structure it does give the option of re-location & saves lots of time & money that would otherwise have to be spent on in ground footings. Also because it's a bolt down structure, it's great for rented sites where you need more space but maybe don't want to invest a lot of money into a building project that you won't actually benefit from when you move site. This way you can actually have your cake & eat it!

Jim Moore said "we needed more space a few months after we had put the steel building up but it was so easy to take the sheets & flashing of the end an adjust it to the size we needed, it's such a versatile design & very easy to customise"

John decided to go for the self build option & we say they done a grand job! It is a large workshop garage with a garaport out the front for washing the car & such when the great British weather is not so good. A man after my own heart he laid a great pad that has now been painted with grey floor paint & looks a real treat & keeps all the dust at bay. Having not long finished his steel building he decided he wanted another almost exactly the same but without the garaport (how many garaports does one man need?) so OZ-UK designed this steel building to match the first & they do look great together. We decided to bless John with a small cash back reward for purchasing two buildings from us, & he wouldn't accept it.

We like our American Barn it's just so versatile with that tall centre isle & the extra space on both sides it's a grand design & offers a great opportunity to really get your custom head in gear & make this into whatever you need it to be; Stables, Storage, Garage, Barn, Offices, even a temporary stop over for the rellies, Kids play space, or garage with the extra height for a vehicle lift, the uses are endless but always seem to fit nicely into our American Barn.

Andrew Wille said "I'd better have a double garage while I'm at it because the kids need somewhere to house their Motocross Bikes, Quads & stuff & I've already filled the American Barn before It's even finished being built!"  

We love the fact that our customers very often come back & sometimes back & back again, I guess that we must be doing something right. The one thing we do try to do is make sure that you will always get a friendly considerate service that you will want to recommend to your friends. Days seem to fly past so quickly & it's so easy to slip into the rush rush of life and forget that we are here for a relatively short time & we might as well try to make that time as enjoyable for everyone. The world isn't actually as bad as all the media would have you believe if we just take the time to treat people with the care and consideration that we would like others to deal with us.

With our design we can customize the building to suit your needs, if you want to garage a Humer limousine or two or more "No worries" what about our Monster Truck?

"No worries" what about my WW2 Tank collection? "No Worries" my traction engine? my Steam Locomotive? "No worries" you give us the size & we'll design a building for you as long as it's within our design limitations it's not a problem.  

Roger Warner said "Can I have it taller than I ordered because I never actually measured the motor-home & now I have, it's bigger than I thought it would be & I don't think the building I ordered will fit!"  

Because we design every building individually to suit it's very hard to amend the order if we don't catch it right away. Once the building has gone to manufacture there is very little we can do about it as they will make what has been ordered. In this case we had to custom make some leg extensions out of I beam & bolt them to the floor & our building to these extensions. A block wall would have to be built up the first two foot because the wall sheets were 2ft off the ground because of the 2ft building leg extensions. The good news is that because it's steel you can get through these kind of problems, they are not the end of the world. A little thought at the planning stage will really help you know that you know you are getting the building you WANT to have! OZ-UK won't rush anyone through this planning stage because we do really want you to have the building you WANT to have & BECAUSE YOU ARE OUR SALES TEAM! word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertising a company can have, or the most damaging.

Roger Warner said "It looks great just the job & now with hind sight I should have got some lean-to’s for an open covered area while I was at it".  

OZ-UK says " The old engineering adage might have proved good to use here; measure twice cut once! Actually even with the 2ft extensions the steel building looks great & we had a lesson in how to make it work anyway! It's all one big learning curve & things like this give us the opportunity to step outside the box & use our intuition to find a solution".

Self building cannot only save you money but can be a great challenge & give you a real sense of ownership & achievement. There is something really satisfying about self building that’s something akin to placing a flag at the North Pole or climbing Everest or walking on the Moon. “I built it myself” is an awesome thing to be able to say to friends & family. Maybe it’s just a man thing! What do you think?

Now I’ve done it, I’ve got myself all worked up! I think I’m gonna have to go & build me a shed!
